We must continue to strive and make our mind, body, and spirit even stronger!
The 2026 T3 Fall Term Begins Monday, August 31st, 2026 with 17 weeks of classes. The term ends on December 27, 2026.
Registration opens on Saturday, August 15, at 12pm. You will be able to register online at www.stqitoronto.com!
Starting with the 2026 T3 Fall Term, we will have 17 weeks of classes each term over the course of 4 months. This means there will be no break weeks during or in between terms except for the week that falls around New Year's Day.
We will still have themed and progressive content each term, and students can start at any time.
We will no longer have class tokens and instead move to a monthly membership system with weekly credits. This simplifies registration and administration for students and our staff. This significantly reduces the initial cost for new students since previously we required an upfront payment for a full term of 4 months.
Credits are purchased for taking classes, and you can purchase a monthly membership with options such as 1 class a week, 2 classes a week, etc., with an unlimited class option.
You can use credits for any classes, including Shaolin kung fu, tai chi, qigong, workshops, casual ping pong, and Dua Ping Pong classes.
Students can commit to a 4-month term for a significant discount and gain other benefits such as access to the up-and-coming 72 Arts of Shaolin Gym, access to the LearnShaolin online subscription course, share credits with family members, and roll credits over to another term in the last month. The starting monthly price is $106.25 for 1 credit per week (i.e. $25 / class).
The base price of $30 for a class has not changed with the new format, and the 4-month commitment with at least 1 class a week immediately discounts you by 16.7% to $25 per credit. Students who can commit to at least 2 classes a week will receive an additional 8% discount to $23 per credit. Students who can commit to more classes a week will receive even more discounts. We will be launching a registration wizard by August 15, Saturday and you will be able to see a full chart of the fees.
Students who can pay for 4-months upfront will also receive an additional 5% discount.
There will still be options for purchasing a single credit, and we will be offering new trial class pass options as well as 3-day and 7-day retreat passes.
We provide many discount incentives such as a 10% discount for children under 18 and seniors 55+ (note that we reduced the requirement for seniors from 60 years to 55 years of age).
We also have returning student discounts that scale up to 20% for those who have been training for at least 48 months within the last 5 years.
Finally, we are providing discounts for our instructors, assistant instructors, and our reception staff in recognition of their contributions in supporting the growth of our school.
Starting September, families can share credits with their monthly membership. We've simplified the registration process and made it easier for families to train.
Here are the requirements:
We are excited to announce that we will be adding a gym with the theme of the 72 Arts of Shaolin. This is based on the training techniques and methods as written by Master Dao's great-grandmaster and his disciple in the early 1900s.
There are still a few things to work out, and we plan to start construction in the middle of August. We will initially provide utilize kettlebells and dumbbells to start, and will encourage exercises that train the body in a balanced way. You will be able to access the gym during most class hours except for classes that require a quieter environment such as qigong and meditation.
Exercises permitted include:

The next worldwide meditation workshop will be held on Monday, December 20th, 2026, at 7 pm EST. The topic for this session is "The Heart Sutra and the Chan-Dao Self-Wisdom".

Earlier this year we organized a trip to China where we will visit the Shaolin Temple. We also hope to compete in the Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Festival.
Registration for this trip is closed.
During this time, the school will remain open, and most classes will be running normally with a few exceptions. We will make an announcement of any changes to the schedule to our students in late September.
The summer term brings a transition to hot weather. Take this opportunity to train more and develop more Yin Qi!
In the Shaolin Kung Fu Foundation class, we will explore the Shaolin Virtues for children and adults, along with themed and progressive content.
In the Shaolin Kung Fu Forms class, we will continue to emphasize 'play sparring' exercises. These will be safe exercises involving control drills and techniques to develop decision-making in simulated encounter situations.
In the Shaolin Sanda Fitness class, we will challenge our cardio and footwork abilities.
In the Shaolin Sanda Sparring class, we will work on our offensive and defensive toolkits while developing strategies through visualization techniques. Please note that an annual $30 Wushu Canada membership is required. You can inquire at our school on how to obtain this.
In the Women's Self Defence class, we will emphasize scenario-based self-defence training to deal with real-life situations. Additionally, extra effort will be put into the Ziwei Jibengong taolu form.
Shaolin Tai Chi emphasizes breath with gentle movements to invigorate the body for health and vitality. Breathing better means having more energy in the body, and gentle movements improve deeper circulation for the vital organs.
For the Shaolin Tai Chi Foundation and Forms I class, we will emphasize Breath Qi Flow in our classes. This is a major component of the Tai Chi Foundation and we will explore what this is, how to feel it, and move it along with Tai Chi techniques and also combine it with other advanced ideas.
For the Shaolin Tai Chi Taolu Forms II class, we will emphasize advanced Taolu Forms such as Rou Quan, Yinshourougun (staff), Xiaoliandao (broadsword), Shaolin Taijigun (Staff). We will emphasize the application of tai chi theory in these forms.
Students must attend the Shaolin Tai Chi Foundation and Forms I class at least once a week to participate in this class. It is recommended that students have finished the Baburouquan form to ensure they have the necessary fundamentals to understand this class.
For the Shaolin Tai Chi Taolu Sparring III class, we will practice safe sparring exercises, developing push hands competency and techniques, and practice taolu forms applications. Students will need to continue taking the Shaolin Tai Chi Foundation I as well as the Shaolin Tai Chi Forms II classes in order to benefit from these advanced teachings.
Shaolin Qigong is about the awareness of one's energy, and learning how to cultivate it through breath work and move it around the body. Qigong will improve your understanding and awareness of your energy (Qi), as it relates to your mind and body, and the environment around you. You will be able to make better lifestyle choices based on what you want in life.
In the Shaolin Stretch Therapy class, we will continue to explore how to optimize all the joints in our body and introduce a few new techniques and exercises.
In the Qigong Foundation class, we will emphasize the Breath Qi with specific qigong exercises.
In the Qigong Forms class, we will explore the Kidney meridian and learn to slow down the effects of aging. By applying advanced Qigong techniques, we can greatly improve our awareness of the kidneys and learn how to communicate and work with it. Learn how to maintain and manage your kidneys and make better lifestyle choices to support it. We will discuss qigong theory and philosophy to better understand qi energy as it relates to our bodies, mind, and the environment. We will also practice advanced martial qigong forms for overall health and wellness.
The Dua Ping Pong system of training is designed by a professional player and coach named Darren Dua, or 'Coach Dua'. He has trained extensively since the age of 7 and was a champion for 7 straight years in the highly competitive State of Delhi (NCT). He brings his talent, passion, knowledge, and experience to anyone who wants to learn seriously. What a treat to have him here at STQI!
Classes are organized in the same term system as our Shaolin Classes, with 17 weeks of classes.
There are classes on:

Feel free to share this with your friends and family!
What can Discord do?
Discord is a free service that allows you to join a 'server'. We have our own STQI server. Primarily, Discord is great for contacting other people, such as instructors, students, etc. You can make voice and video calls, send messages, and participate in Shaolin-related discussions, including sharing photos and videos.
Overall, it's a great way to create a social community, and you can connect with students from our school, STQI Markham, and STQI Scarborough. Students can arrange social meetings for meals, gaming, etc.
You can access Discord from your phone (iPhone and Android supported), tablet, and desktop computer.
It will take some time to learn this new software. Ensure you read the 'welcome-and-rules' section on how to setup properly. Students will be 'validated' and given the correct permissions to access many resources and channels for their school.
What can the Public do?
Those who are not students will benefit from getting more involved in our events throughout the year including workshops, performances, public events like our Shaolin Retreats, free resources on Shaolin Kung Fu, Qigong, and Tai Chi, Meditation, and access to our photos and videos.
We are pleased to offer Corporate Wellness programs to businesses around the world!
If you'd like to bring Shaolin Tai Chi, Qigong, Stretch Therapy and even Kung Fu, please visit this link below and forward it to your manager:

The Need for Shaolin Tai Chi, Qigong, Stretch Therapy, and Meditation at Your Office
Employees are often sitting all day for 8 hours or more at the office. The lack of circulation and postural issues lead to a slowly growing physical problem. This is called atrophy. This then adds to the problem of stress and exhaustion from work. All this means an increased likelihood of illness from the flu and viruses. Not only will this affect the efficiency at work, but also impact life at home.
It begins with some pain or discomfort in the hips, back, neck, or knees. Months and years later, the pain continues to nag you. Perhaps you see a physiotherapist, osteopath, chiropractor, or get acupuncture once in a while to alleviate the symptoms. But it persists.
What if you could bring an interesting and special art into your office to alleviate and resolve these problems for everyone?
The Shaolin arts of Tai Chi, Qigong, Stretch Therapy, and Meditation provide such a means!
We can provide instructors at your office, physically or by live streaming. We can also arrange workshops at our 5,000 square foot downtown Toronto facility.
