What is the Shaolin Virtue of Perseverance?

The Shaolin Virtue of Perseverance is about the willpower to continue when things become difficult. When faced with a challenge, it is too easy to give up. One must learn to push on and develop new perspective. When you persevere, you develop more stamina and strength so that things become easier. When you do not persevere, you become weak and stagnant like a pool of stale water.

How Will the Shaolin Virtue of Perseverance Help Me?

By developing your Shaolin Virtue of Perseverance:

  • You will increase your mental stamina
  • You will increase mental strength
  • You will be able to take on tougher challenges
  • You find challenges in life easier to overcome
  • You will develop the proper foundation for the Shaolin Virtue of Leadership

Why is the Shaolin Virtue of Perseverance Important?

If you do not develop your Shaolin Virtue of Perseverance:

  • You give up easily when faced with a challenge or problem
  • You will not feel motivated to strive and improve yourself
  • You will feel despair more easily

How Do I Develop the Shaolin Virtue of Perseverance?

  • Seek out increasingly challenging things to do that are realistically achievable
  • Purposely seek out a tougher route when accomplishing tasks
  • Find increasingly difficult puzzles to solve
  • Find increasingly difficult problem solving challenges

Pitfalls of the Shaolin Virtue of Perseverance

  • Not giving up when it makes sense to do so
  • Developing stubbornness
  • Becoming too focused
  • Becoming less aware of other
  • Suffering from not completing a challenge

What Happens When I Apply the Shaolin Virtue of Perseverance?

As you develop your Shaolin Virtue of Perseverance:

  • You will be able to effectively overcome laziness
  • You will be able to improve your depth of learning in a particular subject
  • You will be able to accomplish more
  • You will be able to improve the depth of your relationships with family, friends, and loved ones
