New Workshop Classes for the 2026 T1 Winter Term

We are introducing new 'Workshop Classes' for the 2026 T1 Winter Term. We plan to continue with these each term, and may change them up from term to term to keep things interesting.

Here are the seven Workshop Classes planned for the term:

  • Beginner Shaolin Kung Fu - Monday, January 12 at 8 pm (1 hour) - 1 token
  • Beginner Ping Pong Lesson - Monday, February 16 at 6 pm (1.5 hours) - 2 tokens
  • Comprehensive Tongbiquan - Monday, March 23 at 6 pm (1.5 hours) - 3 tokens
  • Comprehensive Xiaohongquan - Monday, March 30 at 6 pm (1.5 hours) - 3 tokens
  • Beginner Ping Pong Lesson - Monday, April 13, 2026, at 6 pm (1.5 hours) - 2 tokens
  • Grading Exam Preparation - Wednesday, April 22 at 6 pm (2 hours) - 2 tokens
  • Grading Exam Preparation - Friday, April 24 at 6 pm (2 hours) - 2 tokens

All of these workshops will be taught by Master Dao. We may also add more workshops during the term, so be sure to check your emails regularly.

To attend any of these workshops, you will need Shaolin Tokens. There may be additional requirements, such as having purchased at least 14 tokens or having progressed to a certain level.

Note that all of these workshops are included for those who purchase Unlimited Tokens for the Term or Year. A reservation is still required in case it becomes full. 

Each Workshop class is described below, along with its requirements.

How to Reserve A Spot

You can find these workshops in the school calendar. 

To reserve a spot:

  1. Log in to our website and click on the 'School Calendar' button from the top menu. 
  2. Click on 'View Workshop Classes' button at the top.
  3. Select the Term you want to view workshops for.
  4. You will see a list of all the Workshop Classes.
  5. Click on the rightmost icon in the corresponding Options column
  6. Find and click on the button to reserve a spot.

You can reserve a spot in advance at any time!

Beginner Shaolin Kung Fu

This Shaolin Kung Fu workshop is for new students and beginners.

Structure of the workshop:

  • Introduction to Shaolin Kung Fu - traditions and training mindset
  • Warmup exercises
  • Stretching
  • Stances
  • Foundation Kicks
  • Self-Defence Techniques
  • Wubuquan Taolu Form

Requirements for this workshop include:

  • Have purchased at least 1 Shaolin token
  • Have been training for under 1 year

Comprehensive Tongbiquan

This comprehensive class covers everything you need to know about Tongbiquan and more!

Structure of the workshop:

  • Introduction about Tongbiquan
  • Warmup exercises
  • Stretching
  • Tongbiquan Level 1 to 2 Details and Practice
  • Tongbiquan Level 1 to 3 Details and Practice
  • Tongbiquan Sparring Exercises

Requirements for this workshop include:

  • Have purchased at least 28 Shaolin tokens - i.e. you are a full-time student this term, taking foundation and forms classes
  • Have started the Tongbiquan taolu form
  • Have been taking Shaolin Kung Fu Taolu Forms classes regularly once a week

Comprehensive Xiaohongquan

This comprehensive class covers everything you need to know about Xiaohongquan and more!

Structure of the workshop:

  • Introduction about Xiaohongquan
  • Warmup exercises
  • Stretching
  • Xiaohongquan Level 1 to 2 Details and Practice
  • XiaohongquanLevel 1 to 3 Details and Practice
  • Xiaohongquan Sparring Exercises

Requirements for this workshop include:

  • Have purchased at least 28 Shaolin tokens - i.e. you are a full-time student this term, taking foundation and forms classes
  • Have started the Xiaohongquan taolu form
  • Have been taking Shaolin Kung Fu Taolu Forms classes regularly once a week

Beginner Ping Pong Lesson

This workshop is an introductory lesson to the sport of Ping Pong.

Structure of the workshop:

  • Introduction to Ping Pong
  • Ping Pong Equipment
  • Rules of the Sport
  • Demonstration of Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Skills
  • Warmup Drills
  • Serving
  • Practice

Requirements for this workshop include:

  • Have purchased at least 14 Shaolin tokens - i.e. you are a full-time student this term

Grading Exam Preparation

This workshop is an open practice for students in preparation of the Grading Exams.

Structure of the workshop:

  • Review of the Grading Exams forms for Qigong, Tai Chi, and Kung Fu
  • Open practice

Requirements for this workshop include:

  • Have purchased at least 14 Shaolin tokens - i.e. you are a full-time student this term
  • Registered for the Grading Exams this term
