Who says you can't start at 40 or later and still achieve a high level of ability in martial arts?
Our Low-Impact Adult Shaolin Kung Fu Classes are designed by Master Dao. It features traditional martial exercises with 'knee care' exercises. They are still the same tough Shaolin kung fu classes, but easy on the knees!
There are two classes:
The Low-Impact Foundation Class features 'knee care' exercises. These are techniques that are extracted from the Shaolin Stretch Therapy program, and include knee decompression, knee alignment, and knee strengthening exercises.
There are no low stances or any exercises that involve low knee-bends. Instead of jumping up, we jump forward. All the exercises can be further adjusted for sore or injured ankles and shoulders.
This class is suitable for people of all ages who have the minimum ability to walk quickly. It is great for anyone with some injuries or disabilities, beginner adult students of any age, or those who are 40+ and worried about knee injury.
The instructors of these classes are all over 40 years of age with senior-level experience and training.
